My Alloy for Menopause Symptoms

"We believe that women over 40 have earned the right to Feel fantastic and can't find the healthcare answers they need to do so. We make it easy to get evidence-based, holistic solutions & expertise so women can feel better now."

My Alloy founders Anne & Monica are two friends in their 40's who went looking for the healthcare solutions they needed - and came up empty-handed. So, they decided to create what they'd been looking for.

Alloy offers prescriptions for menopause, sex and skincare solutions. Their chief Medical Officer Dr. Sharon Malone, MD, FACPG, MSCP is on a mission to empower women to take charge of their health. I saw her last Sunday on the "Sunday Morning" news show with Jane Pauley. Dr. Malone was also a guest on the Michelle Obama Podcast in 2020.

Alloy HRT

My Alloy offers prescriptions to treat, hot flashes, night sweats, fatigue, vaginal issues, anxiety, facial acne, brain fog, weight gain, bone fragility, low libido and hair loss.

Their specialty is in Hormone Replacement for menopause, solutions for sexual health and satisfaction and a few products to help women 40+ with skincare. They licensed to practice and offer prescriptions in all 50 states and District of Columbia.

My Alloy Hormone Replacement Products

Their website notes that all of the products that they prescribe are FDA approved, Bioidentical and plant based. They are very transparent with their pricing. I prefer to do business with companies who publish their products and cost per item.

  • Estradiol Pill - $ 119.97/3 Month Supply

  • Evamist $ 209.97/3 Month Supply

  • Estradiol Gel $ 209.97/3 Month Supply

  • Estradiol Patch $ 224.97/3 Month Supply

  • Low-Dose Birth Control Pill $119.97/3 Month Supply

  • Paroxetine $104.97/3 Month Supply

  • Progesterone $0 with Estradiol (3 Month Supply)

The first four products are all estrogen or estradiol, a single form of estrogen, you'll only need or be prescribed one of them. As you can see, the pill is half the cost of the patch. They also state that if you still have a uterus that you need to take progesterone with your estradiol Rx, which they offer for free with an estradiol prescription.

My Alloy doesn't offer Testosterone as part of their Hormone Replacement Therapy.

My alloy also offers a product called O-mazing to improve sexual satisfaction. They also offer an Estradiol Vaginal Cream to provide effective relief for vaginal dryness, itching, burning and the prevention of frequent UTI's. Both products require a prescription.

They also specialize in prescriptions for Face Creams. M4 a fragrance-free estriol face cream to address signs of aging like decreased collagen production, increased wrinkles, and dryness. The second cream is Tretinoin Face Cream. It is a topical treatment compounded with niacinamide and aloe for acne, fine lines, hyperpigmentation and discoloration.

Alloy is a VERY affordable option if you are not able or don't have insurance. Its closest competitor is WINONA, but Alloy is still a less costly therapy. Most if not all of their products and prescriptions do require a three-month commitment, which you can cancel after 3-months at any time.

My Alloy, their process

Their process seems very similar to WINONA, another online telehealth provider. Alloy does ask that you first fill out an in-take form. Part of that form gives you the opportunity to request certain formulations of estradiol. For example, if you prefer a pill over a patch, or a spray over a gel.

Upon completion of my Alloy in-take and registration form, I was asked to provide a credit card number for the initial fee of $49. This fee is what formally starts the process where an HRT doc reaches out to you with their initial recommendation of Hormone Replacement Therapy for you.

All the communication is via email or text message. You never really "meet" with a doctor, but you do have full and open access to your HRT specialist to ask questions around treatment for as long as you are prescribed medications from My Alloy.

Once you make decision on product or products you want to purchase and provide payment they are sent directly to your home.

They do not require any pre-bloodwork, or any follow up testing once you are on their Hormone Replacement Therapy.

Does My Alloy accept Insurance?

Currently Alloy does not take insurance. They do allow you to "attempt" to use your HSA credit card but do indicate that it's up to your HSA provider to approve or not approve the transaction, so it's best to have a back-up card available just in case.

My Alloy offers prescription solutions for menopause, sex and skin.
My Alloy hormone replacement therapy may consist of pills, gels, patches or pills.

My Alloy Review

If you are looking for simplicity and are in a position where you do not have or don't want to utilize your insurance, then Alloy might be the best fit for you. The fact that they don't require up-front blood tests will save you time and money for your Hormone Replacement Therapy. Their process is simple and will not consume a lot of your time.

Your relief of your symptoms or lack there off will be the measuring stick to determine if the prescribed therapy is right for you or if it needs to be tweaked. You'll have on-going communication with your doctor to continue the conversation as you breeze your way through menopause.
